So here’s this week’s sewer rumor: Abstracts in the Neth. Yeah, I laughed too. Then I met SonMesai in Vortex Bay, smoking like he was trying to kill the rain itself. He told me dead forum accounts are posting again. Old neighborhood boards, buried relay threads, junk pages nobody touched in months. Same creepy tone every time. Same wall-trash poetry. Stuff about concrete, static, and watching people through the signal. Not machine minds, not some fairy tale future-tech nonsense. Real hands are doing this. Human ones. Or something pretending real hard.

That’s the thing, right? In a city like this, one creepy sentence is enough. You post some garbage like I AM IN THE WALL and suddenly NewStratum starts choking on its own filtered air. People believe what scares them fastest. Doesn’t even have to be good. Doesn’t even have to make sense. So maybe the Abstracts are in the Neth. Maybe it’s just some freak with relay access and too much free time. Either way, if your dead mutual starts posting from a broken district board, don’t answer. Let the corpse type alone.
